Brooklyn Park Man Charged With Murder in Apartment Shooting
A Brooklyn Park man is facing murder charges after he allegedly shot and killed a man at a party last week.
Sebestyen Warren, 23, was charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
According to the criminal complaint:
Warren was at a party at Park Haven Apartments in the early morning hours of Jan. 13 when the shooting occurred.
The victim in the shooting, who was the lease holder of a unit at the apartment complex, was having a party.
Witnesses told police that several people attending the party got into an argument. One man brandished a handgun, pointing it at the victim’s head.
However, other partygoers intervened, and the situation briefly calmed down before violence again erupted, the complaint said.
Warren allegedly invited the victim to talk alone in the bathroom.
Police believe he then fired a single gunshot into the victim’s chest.

Sebestyen Warren has been charged with second-degree murder after allegedly shooting a man at Park Haven Apartments.
Witnesses told investigators that Warren ran from the party and told them to call 911 to save the victim’s life.
Police responded to the apartment around 2:45 a.m., and found the victim lying in a third-story stairwell.
He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
Later that day, Warren was arrested with two other people who were at the apartment at the time of the shooting.
The trio were pulled over by St. Paul police officers, who found several handguns in the vehicle.
Warren offered several contradicting accounts of the shooting for investigators, at times saying he was not present and did not know who he was with, the complaint said.
Warren is being held in the Hennepin County Jail with bail set at $1 million.
The courts have scheduled his omnibus hearing for Feb. 20.
