What Happened?
According to the criminal complaint, Jackson and Williams got into an argument in a vehicle parked in a downtown Minneapolis lot.
The altercation turned physical and spilled out of the car.
Jackson had left a pound of marijuana in a backpack inside the vehicle as the fight began.
Williams eventually ended the fight by getting back into the vehicle.
In response, Jackson drew a 9mm Glock pistol and fired what he characterized as a “warning shot” into the air.
Williams and other witnesses then fled the scene in the car with Jackson’s marijuana.
The altercation later continued at a family home.
Jackson asked Williams to return his marijuana, and he refused.
As a result, Jackson fired multiple gunshots into Williams at close range.
Williams returned fire, striking his cousin once.
