Brooklyn Park Entrepreneur Expands Must Be Ruff Dog Treats
CCX News first featured Reggie Carter selling his Must Be Ruff dog treats at the Brooklyn Park Farmers Market this summer. Now Carter has expanded his business to selling his goods at the New Hope Hy-Vee and various breweries, like Unleashed Hounds & Hops in Minneapolis.
“If we eat well and take care of our bodies, we should do the same for them,” said Carter. “The market is flooded with processed treats. I just wanted to take that homemade, gourmet-fresh bakery-style and provide something for the dogs.”
On “Treat Tuesday,” Unleashed Hounds & Hops gives away Carter’s treats to the first 75 guests who registered.
“It’s moving so fast to have the business going less than a year,” said Carter. “It’s going well and I’m doing my best to keep up with it and keep these dogs smiling.”
