Brooklyn Park Citywide Garage Sale Turns Into Treasure Hunt
A treasure hunt of sorts is taking place through Saturday in Brooklyn Park. It’s the citywide garage sale, which can produce some rare finds.
“There are people, No. 1, that are looking for a deal. And No. 2, people looking for something that’s unique,” said Joe Levens, who is one of nearly 140 residents who registered for Brooklyn Park’s annual sale.
Levens said this is an opportunity to declutter, but also a way to pay it forward to people who need items he no longer does. And there’s some unique finds. Someone on Thursday struck gold when he encountered Levens’ vinyl collection up for sale.
“I had a guy this morning that bought a box of 45 RPM records from me. He was happy!” said Levens. “Because they’re different and they’re old and they’re very unique. Couldn’t find them any other place.”
The citywide garage sale offers opportunity to find unique dinner and glassware.
