Brooklyn Park Chiropractor Sees Uptick In Patients During Stay-At-Home Order
Brook West Chiropractic Clinic in Brooklyn Park is seeing an uptick in patients. Many people are suffering from back and neck problems after binge-watching television or sitting at home computers for so long. Dr. Chad Clementson says most of the issues come from people being in prolong positions that they are not used to.
“It’s causing extra stress on the tissue and tightens muscles. A good idea to take 30-minute stretch breaks,” said Dr. Clementson.
He says maintaining good posture by keeping back and shoulders relaxed and upright will alleviate a lot of problems.
“You want to try to keep your ears over shoulders instead of kind of always looking down,” explained Dr. Clementson. “Chin up, hands down, stretch back, because this is the exact opposite of how people are hunched over a laptop.”
If your pain doesn’t reduced with home stretches, it’s time to see a professional.
Dr. Clementson’s office is putting extra safety measures in place during this time period. They take temperatures of each patients before they are seen and they disinfect often.
