Brooklyn Park Barbershop Gives Away Haircuts, Toys
A Brooklyn Park barbershop gave back by offering free haircuts for the third year in a row. Meleyen’s Sports Barbershop cut the hair of around 200 people. And it’s not just haircuts, but toys were also being given to clients.
The owner of the barbershop, Meleyen Tengben, said this year it was especially important to give back because of the pandemic.
“We feel our community supports us and have been supporting us for the last three years. It’s only right that we give back to them too. Without them, we’re nobody. We have to give back to our community and take care of them,” said Tengben.
The barbershop also serves some of the Timberwolves and Vikings. Meleyen said you’re always welcome to stop by and see who might be there.
