Brooklyn Park Author Teaches How to Write a Memoir
Laura Vosika knows a thing or two about telling a story. The author wrote a series called Blue Bells about medieval Scotland and time travel and helps other authors publish their own works. Now she is sharing her knowledge with people wanting to write their own memoir.
“I think most people need some help with writing and ideas to get started because it’s a big subject to write about your entire life,” says Laura Vosika. “One starts by writing favorite memories and scenes and goes from there. You decide where to go from there and what sorts of things emerge.”
Vosika taught a workshop at the Lenox Community Center in St. Louis Park and has an upcoming series at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. The next book in her series is due out in March.
