Brooklyn Center Police Investigate Assault on Bus
Police are searching for suspects in an assault that occurred Wednesday night on a Metro Transit bus near Brooklyn Boulevard and 51st Avenue.
Brooklyn Center police say that there was an argument on the bus at 9:15 p.m. that escalated into an assault. One injured person was taken to an area hospital.
Police searched for four or five suspects, all believed to be teen girls, but did not find them.
The incident resulted in a large police presence that included the Brooklyn Center Police Department, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the New Hope Police Department and the Metro Transit Police Department. The Minnesota State Patrol also assisted with a helicopter.
No one was arrested as of Thursday afternoon.
