Brooklyn Center LA Fitness To Close Dec. 18
The LA Fitness branch in Brooklyn Center is slated to close on Dec. 18.
It’s the latest closure at Shingle Creek Crossing shopping center, where Walmart shuttered its doors in 2023.
According to a sign on the door, members at the club will able to attend nearby branches in Brooklyn Park and New Brighton.
The club initially opened in 2013 at Shingle Creek Crossing, which replaced the former Brookdale Mall.
“After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to close our Brooklyn Center club for business reasons,” said a spokesperson for LA Fitness. “This wasn’t an easy call. We’re incredibly grateful to the members and team who’ve been part of this location over the years. All of our employees will be given the opportunity to move to our other clubs in the area, and we’re working closely with them to make that transition as smooth as possible. We want to thank the community for your support and for letting us be a part of your fitness journey.”
