Brooklyn Center Church Holds 50th Annual Fall Bazaar
A longstanding craft sale that benefits the community is coming up in Brooklyn Center on Saturday.
Brooklyn United Methodist Church is holding its 50th annual Fall Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 4 inside the church.
The sale boasts 35 vendors. It will feature a variety of handmade and commercial items from area vendors. There will also be a bake sale, as well as a space where visitors can shop gently-used clothes, jewelry, books and Christmas items.
Vendors pay the church for their tables. That money goes into the church’s charitable efforts. Money raised from the gently-used item sales go into the pot, too.
“The proceeds will go back into the community and into the nation as donations for a whole lot of projects,” said Pat Swanson, a co-chair of the bazaar.
“Many right here in Brooklyn Center,” added Nancy Kipp, another co-chair.
Some local projects include help for community emergency assistance programs, area schools and homeless outreach.
