Body Found in Crystal Ruled a Homicide
The Crystal Police Department is investigating a homicide after officers found a body in a vehicle on Thursday, March 21.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office has identified the deceased as Eddie Winters, 40, of Minneapolis.
According to the medical examiner, Winters died from multiple sharp force injuries. His death was ruled a homicide.
Crystal police say they were called around 7:30 a.m. to a suspicious vehicle call.
Arriving officers found a body, later identified as Winters, in a vehicle near Hampshire Avenue North and 32nd Avenue.
“Anyone in the area who has information about the vehicle or the person inside is asked to contact the Crystal Police Department through Hennepin County Dispatch by dialing 911,” Crystal Police Chief Stephanie Revering wrote in a press release. “Any tips may be left by calling 763-531-1020.”
