Armstrong Names Interim Principal

Robbinsdale Area Schools has named an interim principal for Armstrong High School for the next school year.

Erick Norby will be the interim Armstrong Principal for the next school year. Norby is currently the principal of Robbinsdale Academy-Highview. He is no stranger to the district, as he attended and graduated from Cooper High School. He’s worked in various capacities for the district, which included being an assistant coach at Cooper High School and a football coach at his alma mater.

Staff members and parents found out about the news on Wednesday. In an email, the district superintendent told staff the Armstrong principal search has been extended over the next academic year, which will allow the district to further expand the applicant pool and reach more candidates.

Longtime principal David Dahl was reassigned at the end of the school year.
