Armstrong High School Band will march at Disney
The Armstrong High School marching band is already looking forward to a cold weather escape for next winter. This week, the Armstrong band found out they have been accepted to perform three times in Florida on winter break next year.
“Former students return to say this Armstrong trip was one of the highlights of their high school career,” said Todd Burkholder, Armstrong Band Director in a press release.
The band will march in the Magic Kingdom Parade at Disney World on December 28, 2019. They will march again in the Outback Bowl Parade on New Year’s Eve 2019 in Ybor City. Then, the band will march again in the Outback Bowl Halftime Show on New Year’s Day 2020 in Tampa Bay.
This is Armstrong’s fifth trip to Florida performing at Disney World and the New Year’s Day Outback Bowl. Band and color guard students in grades 9-12 for the 2019-2020 school year are invited to sign up for the marching band trip.
