Animal Humane Society: Adopt a Critter
Staff members at the Golden Valley Animal Humane Society are encouraging pet lovers to adopt a critter. The facility houses several hamsters, rabbits, ferrets, mice and more.
“They don’t take quite as much of an oversight from mom and dad as much as a puppy or kitten does. But they still do take a lot of love, care, socialization, cleaning cage, feeding, all sorts of things that teach a child responsibility and routine,” explained Liz Hagen, the lead behaviorist with Animal Humane Society.
The facility is only taking adoption by appointment.
