Amy’s Blend Raises Money for Girls on the Run
Caribou Coffee annually releases Amy’s Blend in memory of its first roastmaster, Amy Erickson. Erickson died of breast cancer in 1995 at the age of 33.
For the last 20 years, Caribou Coffee has been honoring Erickson by selling Amy’s Blend and giving a portion of proceeds to a charitable cause.
“This is the first year we also launched a line of Amy’s Blend-inspired merchandise. So we have some really cute mugs in store. We have these Change the World Girl T-shirts and two of our beverages we just launched are going back as well,” says Kayleen Tecker, a Caribou Coffee spokesperson .”If you can’t find them in stores, we actually have them online this year as well.”
This year, 10 percent of all sales of Amy’s Blend items will go to Girls on the Run. The nonprofit works to empower and develop social and fitness skills of young girls.
