What are your qualifications for this office?
In 2002, I began my teaching career in Southern California. My journey as an education professional has allowed me to teach in both public and private schools, college, and hold an administrative role. I earned my masters degree in multiple subject education from Azusa Pacific University in 2006. I have the qualifications, experience and insight to make formative decisions for our district as we pave a new path forward.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
Firstly, I seek to unify our district on the most important matter at hand: closing the achievement gap. I believe all else that we do is secondary to securing a viable education for all students in every school in our district.
Secondly, I hope to aid reforms of dying programs and reorganize our budget to invest in successful new programs to support all student learning.
Thirdly, my first two points are effective ways to follow through on our district’s commitment to ending systemic racism.
