What are your qualifications for this office?
I have been your Mayor for 12 years in addition I served on the planning commission for 11 years. I understand the need for housing and business planning. I know how to run as efficient meeting and how to compromise when needed. I understand the budget and what goes into it. My job as mayor is to be fiscally responsible, support police and staff and listen to resident’ concerns. I am an ambassador for the city . I am a leader you know and trust.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
If elected, I want to continue upgrading our housing stock through the scattered site program. I will work to attract more new businesses to our city, thus increasing our tax base. Since 2008, we have added $220 million to our tax base and I will continue to add to that number. I will continue to strengthen my relationships with other Mayors, legislative representatives and school personnel all while listening to our residents. I enjoy being your Mayor and would appreciate you vote on 8/11.
