What are your qualifications for this office?
Twelve years administering a MN Depart. of Health program; three plus years at the U of M School of Public Health, Epidemiology Dept., in youth development and prevention research projects; twelve years in city government: in juvenile diversion, youth employment and training, and emergency communications; added to 30-plus years in non-profit management & violence prevention; designated MSBA 2018 All-State School Board member; and 18-plus years serving on the Robbinsdale Area Schools Board.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
Equitable access to technology to increase student learning and instruction; improve access to and the utilization of mental health supports for staff and students; monitor adherence to science, and public health driven protocols to insure safe and civil schools; focus on improvements in student reading proficiency at pre-k-3rd grade and beyond; and standardize protocols to improve District transparency in operations, governance, and fiscal decision making, which inspires public confidence.
