In collaboration with cultural advisors and community
partners, The Loppet is hosting an exhibit of portrait photographs created by three Ojibwe artists. The
colorful images honor Indigenous people from the West Metro who participated in the Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ
/ Bassett Creek Oral History Project. The exhibit raises awareness of the Dakota name for Bassett Creek
and celebrates Indigenous cultures that have been connected to the creek for thousands of years.
The exhibit is free and open to the public at The Trailhead, 1221 Theodore Wirth Parkway, Minneapolis,
