The Office of Broadband Development is defining digital inclusion as “the condition in which all Minnesotans have the option and opportunity to adopt and use technology–including internet access–in ways that enhance their daily lives.”
The National Digital Inclusion Alliance says that digital inclusion includes five components:
- Affordable, robust, consistent broadband internet service
- Internet-enabled devices that meet the needs of the user
- Access to digital skills training
- Quality technical support
- Applications and online content
