What are your qualifications for this office?
I connect and build strong relationships with people through genuine interest and cultivate long term relationships that are collaborative, promote value-added exchanges and create an environment to think differently about the way we solve issues. I’ve lived in western Hennepin my whole life; most of my family is here and I raised my kids here. After running a small construction company for the first half of my career, I’ve spent the rest serving people, the last 10 years at Hennepin County.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
Two things year 1; balance and equitable investing. Metro regions across the country have been dominated by one political bloc and voice for decades. Balancing that out with new innovative ideas and more people at the table to serve people more effectively is vital, and difficult. Our infrastructure is aging across the county and far too often county investments in roads and bridges are focused and consumed in certain areas, limiting our ability to address needs in others. This needs to change.
