What to Know About Robbinsdale’s Primary Election
Robbinsdale is ready for Primary Election Day on Tuesday, August 13.
“It takes a community, the city staff here working on the election, the election judges working with the polling locations, working with the county and the state,” said City Clerk Chase Peterson-Etem. “It really is a community-wide effort to make sure elections are run successfully and run well.”
Direct balloting is underway at city hall, where voters who are voting early can insert their paper ballots into the machine themselves.
“You can see that your ballot is counted that day,” said Peterson-Etem.
He said that city council seats in Wards 1 and 2 are on the primary ballot, and that the mayor’s seat will be on the November general election ballot.
The only change for the primary election is a–temporary–change to the voting location in Ward 4. A scheduling conflict with North Memorial’s training center means the polling place on Tuesday, August 13 will now be at Manor Park nearby. In November, it will be back at the hospital’s facility.
