Virtual Fitness In Brooklyn Center
The Brooklyn Center Community Center is currently closed due to COVID-19, but the recreation department is working hard to keep residents active, while also keeping them safe. And that’s why the city’s fitness programs have a different look right now. A virtual fitness studio has been set up in the community center, offering residents a variety of class options including Silver Sneakers Yoga, Silver Sneakers Classic, strength and conditioning, Zumba, and youth dance classes. The recreation department is also looking forward to when the community center reopens to the public, but even that will be quite a bit different, requiring residents to reserve time to come into the facility. You can find more information on classes and registration in the Brooklyn Center Recreation Newsletter at CityOfBrooklynCenter.org/Recreation, or check them out on Facebook at facebook.com/BrooklynCenterRec.
