Tails & Ales: Central Park to Host the Ultimate Furry Celebration
Central Park is gearing up for a tail-wagging good time to celebrate our furry, four-legged friends and the humans who love them.
The paw-some event is called Tails & Ales, and it will be hosted by Maple Grove Parks and Rec and the Maple Grove Lions.
“Tails & Ales will take place on Saturday, June 3rd at beautiful Central Park on the great lawn [where] we’ll have a lot of activities both for pets and for humans,” said Roee Hecht, Recreation Coordinator, Maple Grove.
The tails portion will consist of everything from a pet portrait station to a silly pet trick competition.
“We’ll have a pet vendor show, we’ll have over 20 businesses local businesses who will have everything from collar to accessories to treats, we’ll have rescues and vets as well so you can come check out what the local community has to offer pet owners,” stated Hecht.
As for the Ales, there will be a variety of adult beverages on hand, as well as food and live music.
K-9 Retirement Ceremony
Also at the event, the Maple Grove Police Department will give a special K-9 demonstration followed by a retirement ceremony for much loved member of the force, Calo the K-9.
“We’ll have plenty of activities for people and pets, so even if you don’t have pets or you don’t want to bring your pets, you can definitely still come out and have good food, good music and good drink.”
The city asks that visitors bring well-behaved, leashed pets who are comfortable around other dogs, and to be sure pets are up-to-date on vaccinations.
