Swimming Lessons at the Brooklyn Center Community Center Pool
With classes that cover a wide range of skill levels, the Brooklyn Center Community Center is a great place to take swimming lessons, as Recreation Program Supervisor Jacob Andersen says, “We have baby and parent classes where the parents are in with the babies anywhere from 6 months to 3 years old, and then we move on to our little tot classes for the 3 to 5 year olds, and then we have American Red Cross level classes that teach the various skills from front crawl to backstroke, all the way to butterfly and breaststroke.”
They have lessons for adults, too. The Community Center’s classes are offered at a variety of times to make it easy to fit into your schedule, as Andersen adds, “We offer swimming lessons in the morning from 9 o’clock to noon for different levels and sessions, and everything like that, as well as in the evenings we have lessons as well, and then we also offer private lessons throughout the day at various times that are flexible for the patrons and the instructors.”
And when they’re not teaching people how to swim, they’re letting them come in for open swim time, Monday through Friday from 1 to 5pm, and 1 to 7pm on weekends.
