Other items can dropped for a small fee, including appliances like air conditioners, microwaves, stoves, washers, dryers, water heaters, electronics, monitors, televisions, stereos, mattresses and box springs, and tires.
Items not accepted include carpets, exercise equipment, furniture, light bulbs, paint, vacuum cleaners, and yard waste.
The Special Materials Drop-off Day is Saturday, Apr. 29 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Brooklyn Park’s Operations and Maintenance Facility.
