Snow Emergencies and Winter Parking in Brooklyn Park
Don’t get towed when it snows! The city of Brooklyn Park can declare a snow emergency when winter weather has created dangerous road and travel conditions. That means vehicles may not park on city streets until the full width of the street has been plowed. Vehicles left on city streets will be ticketed and towed. To avoid this expense, residents without off-street parking are able to park in designated snow emergency parking lots for 24 hours. Remember, snow or no snow, overnight parking is not allowed on streets between 2 and 5 am from October 15th to April 15th. Sign up for snow emergency email or text alerts to stay informed.
