Sensory-Friendly Sundays Offered This Fall at Plymouth Community Center
Plymouth will offer Sensory-Friendly Sundays on Sept. 3, Oct. 1, Nov. 19 at the Plymouth Community Center. From 8:30-10:30 a.m. on those days, participants can experience the gym and the K.U.B.E. with dimmed lights, reduced attendance, and no overhead music.
“We are a sensory-inclusive facility so this is an opportunity for people with sensory sensitivity to come and use the facility at a quieter time,” said Paul Pearson with Plymouth Parks and Recreation.
Pearson says they also have tools that people can use as needed, like noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses or fidget tools.
Preregistration is required for participants ages 3 and older. Learn more on the city of Plymouth’s website.
