Robbinsdale Parks Undergo Improvements to Better Serve Community
The City of Robbinsdale is making enhancements to several of its parks as part of its Ten-Year Parks Master Plan.
“To see the progress, to see the movement of these new things, and to kind of elevate peoples’ lifestyles and what they can do near their homes, it is a great feeling,” said Robbinsdale Recreation Services Manager Matt Bayzk.
Bayzk is more than happy to talk about the progress at Robbinsdale parks.
That includes the new fitness court that was installed last month at Lakeview Terrace Park.

“It’s all body weight, so it’s all push-ups, pull-ups, assisted options through all of it, but the intention is that no one needs any equipment to participate,” he said.
The permanent outdoor workout equipment comes with QR codes that direct users to download a helpful app.
“Shows you the body part you are going to be working out and how to use the equipment,” said Bayzk.
Changes Coming to Manor Park
At Manor Park, some concrete work has been done and some new playground equipment has been ordered.
“Should be delivered here in a month and a half we are expecting delivery for that and installation,” said Bayzk. “The equipment should be installed by the end of the year.”

The playground equipment will be inclusive for different levels of play.
“A lot of it is ramps instead of steps, that type of stuff,” said Bayzk.
Another project in the works is to have two dedicated tennis courts and two designated courts for pickleball at Sanborn Park.
“Trying to get people what they are looking for and pickleball is becoming a little bit more of serious. People don’t like to plan on a non-regulation net at times, so we are trying to get them what they are looking for,” says Bayzk.
Bayzk hopes people enjoy the new features at the parks and invites the community to an open house at Lakeview Terrace Park on Thursday, September 11th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for a demonstration on the fitness equipment and app.
“We are hoping that people come out and see it and use it then they can do their own thing moving forward,” said Bayzk.
