Robbinsdale Once Again Offering Yoga, Zumba Classes This Winter
Robbinsdale residents once again have the opportunity to try some indoor recreation and exercise this winter as the city will offer Zumba and yoga classes at Manor Park.
The Zumba classes begin January 11 and will be Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. City leaders say they will pause for a week before resuming on January 25.
Yoga classes will begin in February and will also take place in the building at Manor Park. They will be Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Accessibility is a big thing. These classes might be $25 a class in other places. They’re only $5 a class here in Robbinsdale,” said Robbinsdale Recreations Services Coordinator Matt Bazyk. “Minnesota, you have these long winters, long nights, so just making sure you have something to get out of the house, have something to do, it helps kind of focus yourself (and) stay healthy.”
Bazyk said there are many ways to sign up, including online.
“You can come in, pay in person with cash,” he added. “We have QR codes you scan with your phone when you come in, so we try to make it as accessible as we can for everybody.”
