Robbinsdale Offers Fall and Winter Rec Options
Robbinsdale’s fall and winter recreation offerings features a new board game night and a new kind of yoga class, along with the always-popular Halloween event Birdtown Boo Bash.
Melissa Steward with the city’s recreation services said there will be a new event on Tuesdays starting in September at Copperfield Hill senior living facility called Card and Board Game Bonanza.
“Go there and play games and cards with your friends,” said Steward.
She also mentioned a new offering called Laughter Yoga, which combines–you guessed it–laughter and the breathing techniques associated with practicing yoga. That will start in September at the Manor Park building, along with the other yoga and Zumba classes.
In October, the city will offer futsal–indoor soccer but with a smaller ball–on Tuesdays, and youth basketball will begin in January.
“January does seem a ways off, but our programs do fill up fast,” said Steward.
Registration for all recreation programs in the city can be found here.
She said the Birdtown Boo Bash this year is on Friday, October 4, again at Sanborn Park.
