Pop-up Sculpture in Brooklyn Center
Drive past the corner of Shingle Creek Parkway and Bass Lake Road in Brooklyn Center and you’ll spot a forest of brightly colored trees. It’s a temporary public sculpture entitled We Grow Together. The artist has teamed up with Brooklyn Center youth to help add to the sculpture each week. Each ribbon leaf on the trees contains a community member’s answer to a question. The sculpture sits on a corner of the opportunity site, a new development in the city to include an outdoor market and public art.
