Plymouth’s ‘Drop-off Day’ Helps Residents with Spring Cleaning
Plymouth’s Drop-off Day is just around the corner, where Plymouth residents can de-clutter and get rid of unwanted household items. This year’s two-day event is Friday, Apr. 28 and Saturday, Apr. 29 at the Plymouth Maintenance Facility.
On Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., residents can only bring items that can be dropped off free of charge. While on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., residents can bring both free items and those that have a fee associated with them to the Drop-off Day.
Free items include bicycles, lightbulbs, used motor oil, silverware and dishes, working small appliances, and clothing and bedding. Pay items include tires, scrap metal, furniture, mattresses, large appliances, electronics, construction debris, and carpet.
Fees are based on a per vehicle charge. Prepay the fees online and get a discounted rate. Alternatively, pay the full rate by credit card or cash on the day of the event.
Finally, go to plymouthmn.gov/dropoff for the full list of accepted items, as well as a list of unaccepted items. There is also a link to prepay and a traffic flow map that shows where to enter the Plymouth Maintenance Facility on the Drop-off Day.
