Plymouth To Host Evening of Vegas Style Entertainment
The city of Plymouth is offering folks an evening in Las Vegas without stepping foot on a plane.
The Plymouth Room at the community center will be transformed into a casino-style ballroom for the Viva Las Vegas event.
Guests can try their hand at card games like Blackjack, Poker, Texas Hold ‘Em, Let it Ride, Beat the House, Red Dog and Three Card Poker.
All of the tables will be run by professional card dealers.
“If you don’t know how to play, they will help teach you,” said Paul Pearson, Recreation Supervisor for the city of Plymouth.
The night’s entertainment will also include a Sinatra-style crooner who’ll belt out classics by Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin and of course, Ol’ Blue Eyes.
Guests will dine on appetizers catered by Rock Elm Tavern and purchase alcohol from a cash bar.
Upon arrival, guests will be given approximately $1,000 in casino chips, with minimum table bets ranging from $20-$25.
At the end of the night, leftover chips can be redeemed for raffle tickets for a chance to win gift cards to local restaurants and establishments.
Viva Las Vegas will be Friday, Jan. 20 at the Plymouth Community Center from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Tickets cost $30 and can be purchased online or by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 763-509-5200.
Childcare is available on a limited basis for ages 5-11 and must be reserved in advance. The cost is $20 per child.
The event is for people 21 years of age or older.
