Plymouth Click-And-Ride Offers $3 Fares
Plymouth residents might be familiar with Park-and-Rides throughout the city, but many don’t know about the city’s Click-and-Ride service that makes house calls.
“This has been in existence since the 1980’s, but we still get calls from people who are not aware we have transit services available in the city of Plymouth,” said Nur Kasin, Transit Administrator, city of Plymouth.
For the price $3.00, the Metrolink Click-and-Ride, formerly called Dial-a-Ride, will pick up Plymouth residents from their home and bring them anywhere in the city.
“You can use it for a date night, you can go to the local brewery, you can do whatever you want as long as the ride is available and the location is within the city of Plymouth or other locations that we go,” stated Kasin.
Those other locations include Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka, Colonial Square in Wayzata and Golden Valley Center in Golden Valley.
Kasin said the city made the process – from booking to riding – as user-friendly as possible.
Schedule Ride On Your Own Terms
“You can either call our reservation line and schedule a ride, or you can go online to download the app and do it on your own,” explained Kasin. “You can book as soon as you want on demand, or you can book up to 30 days in advance.”
The Metrolink Click-and-Ride is available seven days a week and has very few restrictions. Riders are even allowed to bring on service animals and pets they can safely transport in a carrier.
“You’re welcome to use strollers, walkers, canes, wheelchairs, bikes, you name it,” said Kasin.
