Plenty of Convenient Options Available at New Hope’s Food Truck Fridays
Flavor and convenience are rolling into New Hope.
On most Fridays this summer, food trucks will be parking outside of its City Hall between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., offering a variety of savory and sweet options.
“I came out here to play some pickle ball and the food trucks just happened to be here,” said Robbinsdale resident Francis Revak.
Revak and his son refueled after their game with some loaded fries from Sophia’s Kitchen food truck.
“It’s really kinda neat that they would bring some food trucks together and you have a different option in town to go eat,” says Revak.
New Hope’s Food Truck Fridays will have up to four different options to tempt people’s taste buds.
“I’d love to go to all four, but I can’t. That would be too much for an afternoon of pickle ball,” said Revak.
The line-up of food trucks is subject to change, but on Friday, June 21st, there was loaded fries, Philly cheesesteaks, specialty sandwiches, and waffle creations dished up.
13-year-old Eli Khea helps his dad out at the Waffle Bar food truck.
“We serve ice cream, boba tea, milk teas, like floats, we also serve flat waffles, which have decorations like strawberries, whip cream, banana, chocolate drizzle, Nutella, just delicious stuff,” said Khea.
The Waffle Bar food truck also gets foot traffic from the the New Hope Aquatic Park, which is next door to the City Hall.
“Cool down with some ice cream or cool down with our drinks,” said Khea.
The food trucks are scheduled to be there most Fridays until August 16th.
There will be no trucks July 5 or 12 due to the holiday and a swim meet.
