Organics Recycling Coming to Golden Valley
Golden Valley residents will soon be able to recycle organic materials curbside, reducing the amount of waste that is generated by households. The city evaluated different options and chose an everyone pays, all-in organics program. Everyone in the city in 1- to 4-plex households will receive an organics cart in late December with weekly service beginning January 7 of 2022. Organics recycling helps divert anywhere from 30 to 40% of the waste stream that would otherwise end up in a landfill. For more information, go to http://www.goldenvalleymn.gov/recycling.
