Openings on New Hope City Commissions Can Help Residents Be Involved
The City Of New Hope encourages residents to apply for openings on three of the city’s advisory commissions.
There are currently openings on the Citizens Advisory Commission, the Planning Commission, and the Human Rights Commission.

The City Of New Hope has openings on three of its city commissions.
“A lot of things we look at in this city, we ask our commissions to…help us look at it more depth, do things the council simply doesn’t have time to,” said Mayor John Elder. “There are people on commissions who do this type of work in their every day life, so they’re going to be far better at it than the council is.”
The terms are two years each for Citizens Advisory Commission members and Human Rights Commission members, and three year terms for members of the Planning Commission.
“The really great thing about being on the commissions is you get to have say about your city,” said Mayor Elder. “You get to give input. Your voice is heard.”
