New Hybrid Vehicle for Golden Valley Fire Department
A new vehicle is hitting the streets in Golden Valley: a hybrid SUV for the Fire Department. For the first time, a hybrid vehicle designed for emergency services is available from Ford, a police version of the Ford Explorer. The hybrid SUV is being used by the fire department’s paid, on-call duty officer who is scheduled 24/7 and will be a test for other city departments to see how it performs.
