New Fire Station Construction Projects in Plymouth
The Plymouth Fire Department is working on two huge fire station construction projects. Station 2 will be completely rebuilt and then the current station demolished, and Station 3 will be fully remodeled and expanded. The outdated buildings combined with changes in the fire service are impacting the department’s daily operations. The new stations will have more space overall, and especially more room to accommodate full-time staff, and it will add needed technology and safety improvements. Construction will begin in May and should be completed in the summer of 2022. During construction, the fire department will be fully operational at both stations to maintain service to the city.
