Mini-Facelift For Sipe Park In Osseo
Osseo’s Sipe Park is in the final stages of a mini-facelift. The city received an almost 11 thousand dollar grant in the spring of 2019 from the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. The city used the grant to buy new bleachers, new bases, ordered a new pitcher’s mound that should arrive any day, put new aggregate in the infield, and bought a new field groomer to take care of the infield. The new aggregate has the added benefit of shedding water better than the old infield, so fewer games should be canceled due to rain. New benches will also be added in the park so fans have more seating options during games. Visit www.DiscoverOsseo.com for more information about Osseo parks.
