Mayor’s Minutes: Plymouth’s Jeff Wosje
Plymouth Mayor Jeff Wosje spoke recently with CCX Media’s Dave Kiser about construction starting at the former Prudential site, the annual photo contest winners, and November’s Artisan Market.
Boulevard Construction Begins
Construction on the mixed-use development on the former Prudential site–known as The Boulevard–is well underway after two recent groundbreakings. The city and developers recently broke ground on the project as a whole but also for the Summit Orthopedics location that will go on the 75-acre site at the intersection of Bass Lake Road and Interstate 494.
“That was an exciting time, celebrating this coming together, the new park we’re going to have in the middle of that property, along with we anticipate two restaurants that’ll be right along the water,” said Mayor Wosje. “There’s a big pond right in the middle of that. That’s an exciting development that’s coming together.”
There will also be a Coburn’s grocery store on the site.
Photo Contest Winners
Mayor Wosje announced the winners of the annual Plymouth Photo Contest:
Artisan Market
This year’s Artisan Market will once again bring dozens of local vendors and craftspeople out to Plymouth Community Center to sell their wares. This year’s event is Saturday, November 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
“(I’m) encouraging residents and people to come and do a little holiday shopping and support our local economy and local artists,” said Wosje.
