Mark Schulz Returns To Osseo City Council, Ready To Tackle City Business
Osseo businessman Mark Schulz is back on the city council after a two-year hiatus and ready to address city business.
“I’m really excited about coming back on the council… I really feel as if we’re a very cohesive group that can do things together, which is not really something that I saw over the last couple of years,” said Mark Schulz, Osseo City Council.
Schulz says the city council is currently investigating the cause behind the hike in resident’s water bills.
“When we can get it all sorted out I feel confident of a couple of different things,” explained Schulz. “I think we’ll be able to continue to offer a competitive water solution being as Osseo purchases all their water from Maple Grove, but also a lot of other opportunities for conservation efforts and different opportunities like that.”
Schulz and his wife Kerstin own three businesses in the city. A chiropractor by trade, Schulz is also passionate about expanding Osseo’s financial and development opportunities.
“The small businesses are really the vehicle that introduces people that aren’t from Osseo to Osseo,” Schulz stated. “We’re providing lots of opportunities for businesses to begin their careers and or stay in Osseo because we’re just a lot more reasonably priced compared to other areas.”
Residents Encouraged to Share Concerns with City Council
Schulz says he wants to be an effective leader for the nearly 2700 residents of Osseo, and asks for citizens to give input on issues that matter most to them.
“By all means reach out to us,” stated Schulz. “Our emails are on the website… if you’ve got ideas for us we welcome your ideas… we’re there to help.”
