Maple Grove’s Juneteenth Celebration is June 19 at Town Green
(CITY OF MAPLE GROVE PRESS RELEASE) – Maple Grove Parks and Recreation is excited to announce our third annual Juneteenth Celebration on Wednesday, June 19 at Town Green from 5 to 9 p.m.
Join us for an evening filled with reflection, education, entertainment, and unity.
This event will showcase a Black-owned business fair where attendees can explore a variety of products and support local businesses. There will be food offerings from food trucks, and
children can engage in a variety of activities such as story walks, lawn games, a coloring mural, and more.
There will also be entertainment on the stage including music, spoken word poetry, drumlines, and headliner band Chase & Ovation.
In the spirit of Juneteenth, we unite as a community to acknowledge the strides we have made, understand the hurdles that persist, and commit to strive towards cultivating a fairer and more inclusive society.
