Maple Grove Set for Seasonal Hiring Push
Maple Grove city leaders are hiring in most of their departments most of the time. But when spring time rolls around, it’s time to push forward hiring seasonal employees across many departments for the spring, summer, and fall.
“For our public works department we are looking to hire roughly 70 people,” said City of Maple Grove Recruitment and Retention Specialist Joey Matesi. “Through our parks and rec department, it’s hard to put a number on that one. There’s quite a bit of options available there, through different recreation programs, the Community Center, as well as our pool.”

Maple Grove continues to hire for all departments.
Matesi said the Community Center is always hiring people to help guests, to watch areas like the playground and maze, and help manage the dozens of events there each month.
He also said the city likes to find pathways for seasonal or part-time workers to move into full-time positions.
“We often times will end up hiring seasonals full-time once those positions become available,” Matesi said. “They will go through our process as normal as everyone, but it’s always to get the exact work experience we’re looking for and put your foot in the door.”
