Maple Grove Farmers Market Opens for 20th Year in Temporary New Location
(CITY OF MAPLE GROVE PRESS RELEASE) To allow for the Maple Grove Community Center expansion project, the Maple Grove Farmers Market will be temporarily relocating for the 2024 outdoor season, starting on May 9 and running through October 17.
The farmers market will no longer be at the Maple Grove Community Center (12951 Weaver Lake Road). It will be moving to the parking lot of the Church of the Open Door, located at:
9060 Zanzibar Ln N
Maple Grove, MN 55311.
The relocation aims to ensure uninterrupted access to fresh produce and local goods for the Maple Grove community during the expansion project, which is set to begin in July. The Maple Grove Parks and Recreation Board recognizes the importance of maintaining accessibility to the farmers market and are committed to providing a seamless transition for market-goers.
“We are excited to continue serving the community for our 20th season at our new temporary location,” said farmers market manager Mao Lee. “The new site at the parking lot of the Church of the Open Door offers ample space and convenient access for residents to enjoy everything the market has to offer.”
The Maple Grove Farmers Market is open every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m., May 9 – October 17
(3 to 6 p.m. in October). The market offers a wide variety of locally sourced produce, artisanal goods, and much more.
Maple Grove Parks and Recreation values community feedback and invites residents to share any questions regarding the relocation by contacting farmersmarket@maplegrovemn.gov.
“We appreciate the support of our community as we work to make the Maple Grove Farmers Market a continued success,” added Lee.
