Maple Grove 2022 Community Survey
The City of Maple Grove wants to know what residents think. 4800 of the city’s households were randomly chosen to receive cards in the mail inviting them to take part in the Maple Grove 2022 Community Survey, which is going on now. City Administrator Heidi Nelson says, “What we’re really looking for is feedback from residents about city services, programs and facilities. It’s really important for us to kind of assess the attitudes and opinions about the services the city provides, the programs, and our facilities. It helps us to evaluate those programs and services, understand kind of the general perceptions about the quality of life in Maple Grove, identify issues that are facing the community.” The survey is also used to identify demographic changes in the city, as well as to compare residents’ current satisfaction levels to previous surveys, Nelson adding, “It’s just a good data measure for us, to be able to understand where people’s feelings and thoughts are about the community and how that might have changed over the last five years, and why did that change over the last five years, so that we can maybe put that as a point of focus in the work that we do at the city. I think it’s important to us how people perceive the quality of life in the community where they live, that’s important to us, we feel at the city that that’s part of our job, to make sure that people have a good quality of life in our community.” There are also questions about some special focus areas on the survey. This year those questions are about the future of the community center, and organized garbage hauling. If you did not get a card asking you to take the survey, you can still opt in, and take the survey online at https://polco.us/maplegrove2022. The deadline for everyone to take the survey is Friday, May 20th.
