Join ‘No Mow May’ in Brooklyn Park
Brooklyn Park is participating in No Mow May this year.
If you’re wondering what that means, it’s all about refraining from mowing during the month of May. That allows pollinators to emerge from hibernation and forage safely. Mowing less also conserves water and promotes soil health and bird reproduction.
Residents who wish to participate must register for free with the city by Wednesday, May 10.
Houses that are registered will not be subject to grass and weed length code enforcement during the month of May.
Then, when the month of May is over, mow your lawn back to the ordinance height of 8 inches or less by Jun. 10.
