Inclusive Playgrounds in Crystal
The city of Crystal is reinvesting in its parks, and that includes making play areas more inclusive. Becker Park and FAIR School Park now have features that make it possible for wheelchair users to access playground equipment, including a wheelchair-accessible merry-go-round, bucket seats for swings and a zipline, and rubberized surfaces. The improvements at Becker Park were made possible from grants and donations from the community, while FAIR School Park improvements were an opportunity to share costs with the school district.
