Golden Valley is Going Green
Golden Valley has been busy working on becoming more sustainable and recently achieved Step 5 in the GreenStep Cities program. The city made many environmental improvements, including expanding pollinator habitat and rain gardens on the city campus, installing LED lighting, adding an electric vehicle charging station, and installing solar arrays on city buildings. The city has developed an Energy Action Plan that aims to reduce energy usage while saving money and improving equity.
